Late at night, whilst robbing the hairdressers shop (LA BOITE A TIFS), Marie-Ange Miou-Miou is suddenly shot and then she is seen sitting in a chair (53:18 to 53:26), completely tied up, with just a bleeding graze visible on her right shin. Marie-Ange was lucky, as the bullet just grazed her leg. Jean-Claude and Pierrot deliberately leave her behind, however when they rejoin Marie-Ange later in the movie (78:28 to 78:36), you expect to always be able to easily see signs of that permanent injury, provided courtesy of the make-up department for the film. Although there is no exact indication of the time elapsed, that kind of traumatic injury from a gunshot wound, always leaves a permanent scar after healing completely.
