The Dirty Dozen are shown jumping into Brittany on their D-Day eve mission wearing green M43 field jackets, green fatigue pants with rigger-added cargo pockets, and bare helmets, although Sgt. Bowren wears a tan M41 field jacket and brown OD trousers. A more realistic uniform for Reisman, Bowren and the Dozen would have been the tan paratrooper's jacket and trousers known as a "jump suit," with camouflaged-netted helmets, the uniform worn by all U.S. airborne troops that night.
