The film, which is set in 1887, and ends with Roy O'Bannon talking about Hollywood and the new fascinating invention (movies) that is growing there. Films weren't screened commercially until 1894 in France, by the Lumiére brothers. Hollywood wouldn't become a film center until the 1910s.
