(at around 1h 40 mins) When the Terminator takes out the SWAT team in the Cyberdyne lobby, he first uses a pistol before picking up a smoke grenade launcher. After using the pistol he discards it on the floor. Later on at the smelting plant he uses a similar pistol against the T-1000 which could have been picked up outside Cyberdyne from one of the many injured officers or upturned cars or from inside the armory van.
