Throughout the film there are constant references to the anacondas' babies. These babies (when in shot) are boa constrictors and not anacondas. Maybe some snakes that are baby anacondas in the movie, are boa constrictors in reality, but the one that tries to eat Westridge's finger is an animatronic baby anaconda. During another scene, there are real baby anacondas.
