Upon exiting the "Masters" house, Winifred snatches the mask of a passing trick-or-treaters to prove they are not goblins, but actual children. As the boy flees, the gray mask is clearly in his left hand, even though Winifred still has it (Bette Midler even attempts to hide the mask in her robes with her right hand). In the next shot, Winifred no longer has the mask and she gesticulates wildly in the air with both, empty hands.
