After Worf says "assimilate this" and blows up the deflector, there is a wide shot of the ship. Three people are seen standing on the hull in Starfleet spacesuits. Picard and Worf are clearly visible, but the third person in the party, a Lieutenant, had been assimilated and then killed earlier.
