It would not be possible for the escaping Americans to reach the coast as quickly and easily as depicted in the movie. Pyongyang is 50 kilometers from the Yellow Sea. Kim's compound is depicted as being close to Pyongyang, but because it is in the mountains it must be further inland. It would be almost impossible for them and the Seals to reach the coast without crossing open country, as the coastal strip in North Korea is highly cultivated and cleared of trees, and Pyongyang is surrounded by the flood plain of the Taedong River. In the movie, by contrast, the Zodiac is only a relatively short walk away, and not even Rapoport seems fatigued.
