Kirk decides to break into the rich man's estate and mansion and goes wearing a sports jacket, shirt and tie and dress shoes and proceeds to climb fences, walls, and trellises to climb through a second floor window. He doesn't even check for an open door or window on the ground floor. By going through the upstairs window he finds the dead body of the rich man which he can then compare to the picture he has, pull the plot together, and then goes right back downstairs.
