When the interview starts, Linda says she got interested in the war as a result of watching movies. "The movies. Anything set in Germany. It didn't matter if it was the 1st world war or the 2nd." But she was with Ed when Pearl Harbor was attacked. So she was already grown up when World War II started, so she couldn't have watched movies about it when she was a child.
