Dick Best and two wing men in his squadron attack the Akagi. In the movie, the first two bombs miss - one landing near the bridge and the other landing near the bow with the third, dropped by Dick Best, striking the Akagi. In reality, Dick Best's bomb was the second to be released, not the third. Furthermore, the bomb shown missing near the bow actually missed near the stern, jamming the Akagi's rudder.
