The poisoned coffee is clearly fatal in small doses to John Ruth and O.B., yet Ruth vomits blood multiple times over Daisy's face and mouth with no after effects whatsoever.However, being splashed with coffee or vomit does not mean she swallowed any and thus did not digest any poison.
