At the start of the "3 years later" portion Pam watches a news broadcast showing L.A. being destroyed by a wave. Some footage shows the Griffith Observatory being taken out, which is in the Hollywood Hills, 1,135 feet above sea level. In order for even an earthquake-generated tsunami to reach this far into L.A., sea levels would already need to have risen so high that much of the U.S. would be underwater, yet the film depicts this as the first indication of sea level rise, and the people shown fleeing the water on the news clip were clearly completely unprepared.
