The RAF pilot is wearing a Senior Aircraftman's uniform with a 3-bladed prop on the sleeve. This is a junior rank, equivalent to a "senior" private, which didn't even exist in the RAF in WW2. It was created in 1st January 1951 and they're not pilots.
