When Bullitt and Delgeti are rummaging through Simmons' luggage after it is retrieved from the airport, Frank asks for a bag and says to the attending officer, "fingerprints on this stuff." However, neither Bullitt nor Delgetti are wearing examination gloves, thus contaminating everything touched and likely rendering subsequent "fingerprinting" useless or at least severely compromised. Subsequent to Edward Locard's development of forensic science in 1910, this would not have occurred.
