The doctor told Eazy-E that he was HIV positive. Eazy was actually in the final stages of AIDS (what was once known as "full blown AIDS" before that phrase was eliminated and viewed as being like saying one is "a little pregnant"; you either are or you aren't). This is why, combined with his other ailments, he died within weeks of the discovery. Had he simply been HIV positive, he would've likely lived another 10-20 years, or even more depending on how he managed it.
