(at around 4 mins) In the beginning of the movie, set in 1944, Major Reisman wears Infantry branch insignia, an Airborne badge, a Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart, and was told by the General that he had done well in Italy, meaning in combat. Considering his Infantry specialty, his combat decorations, and his combat experience in the Italian Campaign, Reisman should also be wearing the Combat Infantryman Badge, created in November 1943.
