When going over the qualifications of the 4 women, it's revealed that Clay was court marshaled from the Marine Corp. Later, during her conversation in Ulrika's office, Clay says that her "Army days are behind her." Those are two completely different branches of the military, and no one who was in one would claim to be in the other.
