During WW2, unlike in German Army Stalags which had separate camps for officers, Allied Airforce POWs of all ranks were held in separate areas within the same Stalag Luft. These camps, however, were all operated by Luftwaffe personnel, as depicted in the TV series "Hogan's Heros."
