When watching the video from the future in 1955, Doc tells Marty that he needs a nuclear reaction to generate 1.21 gigawatts of electricity. He then proceeds to partially explain how the Flux Capacitor works before Marty starts rewinding it. This dialogue does not appear earlier in the film. Doc explains why he needs plutonium, but immediately afterwards Marty tells him that "you don't just walk into a store and buy plutonium."
