At the end of Harry Potter e il prigioniero di Azkaban when Harry gets his Firebolt it is black, but in this film his Firebolt is gold and maroon with handles on them. Considering Gryffindor's colors are gold and maroon, and Harry is on their Quidditch team, it only makes sense that he'd modify it for better performance and appearance in Quidditch matches.
