When Bond arrives at the Skyfall house and meets Kincade, Bond introduces 'M' only as 'M', but Kincade shakes M's hand and says "nice to meet you Emma". Since this is not either the character's full name (as far as we know), or the actress's name, it was probably either deliberately misheard by Kincade ('M' and 'Emma'), or an easy affectation for the name he really heard. 'M' and 'Emma' are not very different, especially for someone not used to only hearing a single letter as somebody's name. Plus Kincade may have thought Bond was saying Em, which is a commonly used shortened form for Emma.
