Euro banknotes are used in this movie, and the prices visible on billboards are in Euros. However, the so-called 'Taxi war' in Amsterdam on which this movie is based, took place in 2000. At that time the currency used in the Netherlands was the Guilder. Euros were introduced on Jan. 1, 2002.
