The film skips the order events with the record releases. "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" was a single for Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in 1967 written by Bob Gaudio. In the film, after Francine's death (1980), Bob brings the sheet music of the song for a grief stricken Frankie to go over. Frankie wakes Bob up in the middle of the night to talk about the song. Bob wears no visible wedding ring yet in 1980, Gaudio was married to Judy Parker but not in in 1967 when the song was actually released. Additionally an actress appears asleep in bed with Bob during the 1980 scene implying that in 1980 at least, Gaudio had married Judy Parker with whom he co authored "1963 (Oh What a Night), released in 1975.
