Scenes set near St. Louis all have obvious landmarks that are actually located in Laplace, Louisiana, where much of the movie was filmed: Troxie's Motel, the levee, and Fatty's Restaurant (across from Anna's school). Hobnobber's, a prominent New Orleans bar/restaurant, can be seen across from Damian's daughter's non-profit, supposedly set in NYC.
