When Beatrix first meets Pai Mei at his temple, he is seated on the steps at the end of a long pathway. In looking towards him from her angle, no racks of swords can be seen on the sides.When she gets close to him, just before she kneels in front of him, the racks of swords suddenly appear on the side of the path.
