The machine gun appears to be a modified Browning 1919a4. The spade grip has been added to the rear section. They even lined up the rivets. The feed mechanism is clearly visible in several of the barge shots. The moving Gatling mechanism appears to revolve around the main barrel. In one shot a blank firing adapter can be clearly seen. The flashing etc must have been added afterwards. Tracers were most likely added via CGI. As noted above tracers were not around at that time.
