When Kimble is taken away by detectives after his wife's murder, he thinks back to events which took place earlier that evening, including the moment when Charles Nichols introduced him to Alec Lentz. Later in the movie when Kimble thinks back to that moment, after breaking into Frederick Sykes's house and seeing Lentz in a photo, the words and actions of Nichols and Lentz are slightly different to what was seen earlier in the movie.
