At about the 1:09:00 mark is a newspaper column that says Pat Pemberton will defend her title in the Women's Pro Golf Matches. But, per her conversation with Hucko in the previous scene, it had only been a year since Pat took on Mike as manager and promoter after losing the match play tournament to Babe Didrikson Zaharias. Thus, Pat is not the defending champ.
