There is no "direct flight" from anywhere in the Lower 48 to Alaska, unless it is to Anchorage - and there is no way you could take a flight from San Francisco in the afternoon and arrive anywhere near Alaska - let alone continue to a small town - in time to attend the town festival that evening.
