While one might assume that the intense amount of stress in Aldrin's voice during the landing was natural, it was only there for dramatic effect, in the same way that the Apollo 1 astronauts voices were falsely shown as being close to panic. As this film is intended to be a realistic depiction of actual events and is seen as such by audiences, the lack of professionalism this depicts is not only inaccurate but it is an insult to the astronauts themselves. In real life Buzz Aldrin was actually quite calm, as was his voice. The moon landing, as will all other aspects of the flight, was so well rehearsed in the simulator that everything was familiar and nothing was particularly scary. It might also be noted that some of the actual dialogue was removed, including statements about picking up some dust and a number of other things. Also added for dramatic effect was the beeping of the fuel alarm. In actual fact, they immediately killed the alarm, being fully aware of their fuel status.
