In the original movie we are told only living tissue or objects encased in living tissue can pass through the time portal, yet T-1000 is made of liquid metal. It is unknown how the T-1000 can travel back but it appears mimetic poly-alloy is an exception to the living tissue rule for time travel. Additionally, why does the T-1000 take the shape of a naked man if he is completely metal anyway.
