(at around 1h 40 mins) When John parks on the river bed near the mobile home, just prior to the arrival of the alien ship, 2 deer are seen running past, a buck and a doe. They are clearly not whitetail deer and look more like red deer (an imported European species) that are found in Australia. Whitetail deer are the only deer species in the U.S. Northeast.
