At the end of the movie, Dean leaves Cindy's father's house and walks down the street, as the neighbors set off firecrackers in celebration of the 4th of July. However, Dean and Cindy have just arrived at the house following their confrontation at Dr. Feinberg's office. Although hospital emergency rooms are generally open on the 4th of July, physician's offices are always closed for the holiday.
