Once Sarah re-activates the fire extinguisher systems, a gas based (CO2 maybe) system puts the fire out in a matter of minutes. These systems work only that fast in sealed areas, as their mechanism is to block the oxygen flow to the fire, and or bind the oxygen. a fire of that size in the height of 500m+ generates a strong upward airflow (even if we don't consider the wind that powers the turbines) and with all the windows broken it can supply unlimited amount of oxygen and blow away the gas.
