The physical description of Barry Kane varies throughout the film. His age is stated by the policemen searching the circus troupe caravans as between 20 and 25, and in the newspaper in Freeman's pocket at Soda City as 26. He's described as 6' 2" in the radio broadcast the highway patrolman hears after he questions the trucker giving Barry a lift, and 6' in the newspaper. In real life, Robert Cummings who plays Barry Kane was 31 during the filming of the movie, and 5' 10".
