During launches and other dramatic scenes inside the X15, the space capsule and the lunar landers, the audio track is dominated by the sound of a jet engine during various stages of spin-up. That sound would never be heard either inside or outside a craft that's powered by rocket motors. The mistake is compounded by the decision to use a jet sound effect that's most commonly heard prior to take-off or during approach for landing, but not during its maximum thrust. The difference between the engine performance of rockets versus jets is so extreme that this audio mismatch is comparable to an attempt to accentuate fighter jet afterburners with the sound of an idling leaf blower... except fighter jets and leaf blowers have much more in common.
