In the scene where it is explained that John's heart cannot take it, and Marcus donates his heart, John is seen with the cuts on his face freshly healing. In the following scene, when John wakes up invigorated, demonstrating it has been after his heart transplant; his face has fresh blood-stained gauze on his cuts, as if they were fresh.
