When Debbie is ringing up Bruce and her mother is nagging her to come to dinner, Bruse is watching The Benny Hill show on TV. When The Benny Hill show aired in the 1970's in Australia it was always shown after 9pm due to its raunchy contact. There is no way that Debbie's family would have been about to have dinner at 9pm especially on a school night and Debbie had a much younger sister as well. This movie was set before Beta & VHS were introduced in Australia so Bruce must have been watching it on TV straight from the network station.
