When opening the chest with Roger's retirement nest egg, Alonzo says "Over four million in here. First day on the job, you hit a three million dollar seizure." That does not add up. Alonzo offers a quarter of a million to each of his four guys but he also needs a million dollars to pay off the Russian mob. That would leave only two million dollars. But if Alonzo managed to scrounge together most of the million elsewhere and only needed the much smaller amount from Roger's stash that made it "over" four millions, then he could have made up that minor number in any number of other ways, with far fewer risks and without murdering his oldest informant. Roger himself might even have straight-up loaned him that kind of money. So then the entire heist would make no sense.
