Isaacs had James Marcus killed so that he could take over Umbrella, but yet leaves his daughter Alicia unharmed for some reason. Given that she is his daughter, and therefore an heir to the Umbrella Corporation (which Alicia even tells Isaacs that she owns 50% of the company), there is no conceivable reason for why he should let her live, because she could potentially jeopardize his plans and everything he's working for, which is exactly what happens.
