After the final dynamite explosion, we learn that the 'I Love Goldie' tattoo has been blasted off his chest. This could only happen if all the skin had been burned or stripped from his chest, yet he has suffered no obvious injury and his face is not harmed.This was obviously no goof, many implausible things happen in this movie (such as Patience shooting her rifle all over the place and nobody every getting hurt) because it's a comedy and it does not pretend to mimic reality.
