It is made clear in the Mission: Impossible franchise that when an agent impersonates another person, they both wear a mask of the other person to disguise themselves and they have a voice chip on their neck to make their voice sound like the other person. When Benji is impersonating Lane, he was wearing both a mask and a voice chip to disguise his voice. But when Walker rips off the mask, Benji says, "It's just the job. No hard feelings," in his own voice. If Walker only ripped off the mask, Benji should still have the voice chip and it wouldn't have been his own voice.
