Korben appears to murder his mission commanders when they visited his apartment by locking them in the freezer. Yet he doesn't seem to have remorse or suffer any criminal or emotional ramifications from committing a rather gruesome triple murder.This is because they are not dead. The General is seem later on in various scenes of the president's office while Dallas is on the mission. It's pretty clear they weren't murdered/frozen to death.
