When in Gereral Hopenner's office/war room in January 1917, Richthofen looks at the map and remarks that the Germans should be closer to Paris, based on Hopenner's battle plans. However, there were no major German attacks in 1917 on the western front with the aim of capturing Paris. It wasn't until spring/summer 1918 that that Germans launched major offensives on that front.
