When Buddy Love/Sherman Klump reveal themselves to be the same person to everyone at the end of the film you can see that, during this transformation, Buddy Love's suit jacket ends up torn and ripped, the buttons on his shirt pop off and his shoes are destroyed during this process. However, the T-Shirt he is wearing underneath his shirt is perfectly fine and seems tailor made for a larger man like Sherman even though slim and athletic Buddy Love would have been wearing it prior to the transformation.
