(at around 1h 30 mins) After Magneto is "cured," the remaining soldiers fire their cure cartridges at Jean, which she quickly destroys, suggesting she might still be vulnerable to them. But even though Logan is unharmed by knives, kicks, and groin shots (as seen in the first X-men movie), he doesn't appreciate them. So Jean might only be stopping the needles because they annoy her - not because they necessarily could cure her.
