The squadron's goal is to bomb a heavily defended factory in Norway making special fuel for the German rockets. Since the rockets were fueled with a mix of 75%/25% ethanol/water, the fuel needs no more special factory than a brewery. While the Third Reich struggled to get petroleum, there was certainly no problem getting alcohol. And certainly no point to getting it from Norway.
