(at around 1h 35 mins) Towards the end of the movie, when the C-123 is over Las Vegas, it hits a neon guitar and separates a portion of the wing. With the amount of the wing that is sheared off, and the fact that the engine on the same wing isn't running, the aircraft would not be able to level out and would not fly - it would drop onto the broken wing and crash on its side.
