While discussing the hatred directed at him by fans of the Indiana Pacers, Spike Lee says "What you have to understand about Indiana is that it was the birthplace of the Ku Klux Klan - the KKK." The Ku Klux Klan has been officially founded and disbanded twice, once in Pulaski, Tennessee and once in Atlanta, Georgia. It did not appear in Indiana until 1915, fifty years after its foundation.
